I am normally not giving reviews on portals but this special case deserves one. In Sep 2023 I bought from Fresh Air Flow HVAC a complete new heat pump, furnace & central air filter system from carrier. From start to finish, Ben - the owner - was transparent and even offered proactively getting it invoiced via PSEG as they had a special program. Everything went perfect and I had a nice heat pump infinity system! Fast forward: Sep 2025 out of the blue the system suddenly gave communication faults and the initial assumption was a missing software update. However, this wasn't the case. Since I signed also a bumper-to-bumper warranty Ben & his team patiently came over multiple times and replaced about 5-6 times several boards and even a better surge protector as the thought with Carrier's tech support was that dirty voltage from my solar arrays may be the reason. However, even after 6 months downtime I still haven't had a working system. The error code, and therefore the communication with the heat pump came randomly back within a couple of days. Last Friday, Fresh Air Flow HVAC came the 11th time back in this matter, this time with a Carrier expert in person instead of the phone and due to their diligent work the root of the issues was found...a shaved wire within the heat pump itself caused the short circuits. It developed over time as the wire wasn't fixed properly during production, so totally a manufacturer's fault (Carrier) and not from the installer (Fresh Air Flow). Today is day #4 and the system works flawless again (heating and cooling) and I am convinced that this was the fault! A big shootout to Ben the owner, Ian as service manager and all the service techs who came out so often and trying to figure out what was the issue! Most important for me as a homeowner was, I knew it was not an installation issue, nor the solar panels but Ben and is team really stood by their word of the warranty - also labor - we signed for and also wanted to get the system again up and running! I know that Fresh Air Flow got only the spare part but not the labor reimbursed from Carrier and therefore only had their profit from the initial purchase and they never tried to get additional money! If I could, I would give them 100 stars and recommend them to anybody in need of HVAC projects! The company vision and mission is just outstanding! Wish you all the best!
